Mental Illness is not imaginary.
It isn’t unusual or new. It’s real. For me, I call them the demons in my head.
I don’t want your sympathy or to be treated like I’m losing a battle. Because the moment that you do, it will mean I lost the battle in my head.
Here is an easy list of questions or guidelines I’ve used from the point I’ve written my story titled, Thorns of Angels. Though there is a time I’ve neglected this outline for a simpler structure, like a basic summary of the whole novel – yes, I do write the whole main plot story in a three-page summary sometimes – but I always come back to this because of how direct and clean it is.
My mindset when writing a novel
Author LifeWhen I’m in the process of writing a book, I’m more focused on planning it than writing the novel itself. It’s difficult to write the chapters as days, weeks, and months passed. The hype dies out and you have to reintroduce yourself back to the emotional and mental state you were in when you felt like writing the story. I don’t know how other writers do it or their mindset when they’re writing a novel throughout the year. But I’m sure there are days they’ll lose interest to even write a word. And I admit, I’m one of those people.
