Mental Illness is not imaginary.
It isn’t unusual or new. It’s real. For me, I call them the demons in my head.
I don’t want your sympathy or to be treated like I’m losing a battle. Because the moment that you do, it will mean I lost the battle in my head.
Here is an easy list of questions or guidelines I’ve used from the point I’ve written my story titled, Thorns of Angels. Though there is a time I’ve neglected this outline for a simpler structure, like a basic summary of the whole novel – yes, I do write the whole main plot story in a three-page summary sometimes – but I always come back to this because of how direct and clean it is.
What it is like sharing my first novel
Author LifeWhen I first started writing, I never envisioned myself publishing my first book at the age of 20. I started young. I wrote diaries and stories where it didn’t seem to have an end and was messy. But it was a necessary learning experience. I won’t say I’m at par with Danielle Steele or Nicholas Sparks now – not even close. Yet I did grow as a writer on my own.
How I became a Writer (Novelist)
Author LifeI started writing at a young age, as most do when they learn to write their name. But it wasn’t until high school I took interest in the literary world. However, I hadn’t directly taken a pen and start creating a novel. I was, at first, a reader, an audience for other literary geniuses. What urged me to be a writer was a matter of personal satisfaction rather than an obligation. I wrote not for an audience but to myself – as many do. I wrote down emotions, dreams, and ideas. Anything that sparks my mind.
